Our Products & Solutions
HY BRITE®
Bleaching solutions
Silox Canada remains the undisputed benchmark for high-performance bleaching solutions. Building on expertise developed since 1996, we provide essential bleaching agents to the industry, particularly for the pulp and paper sectors.
Our diverse HY BRITE® formulations – based on sodium hydrosulfite (SHS) – are custom-developed to meet each client’s specific needs, using additives that ensure maximum performance and cost-efficiency.
HY BRITE® Solutions: ready-to-use bleaching excellence
Unlike complex dissolution systems or borohydride and SO2 reactors, HY BRITE® solutions offer an integrated, safe, and highly effective approach.
1. Uncompromising operational excellence
- Ready-to-use and pre-formulated : Streamline your operations with a single, turnkey product. Eliminate the need for costly preparation equipment, multiple storage tanks, and the headache of concentration fluctuations. With HY BRITE®, stability is guaranteed to the highest industry standards.
- Customized performance : Every formulation is engineered to meet your plant’s specific requirements, incorporating proprietary additives that maximize performance while minimizing operational costs.
- Operational simplicity : Free up your workforce. Our solutions eliminate the labor-intensive handling of totes (IBCs) and drastically reduce the risk of human error during staging and mixing.
- Local and responsive supply : Based right here in North America, Silox Canada guarantees a reliable supply chain, eliminating the logistical uncertainties and lead times associated with importing powders.

2. Safety at the heart of your plant
Switching to HY BRITE® liquid solutions eliminates the critical hazards associated with other methods:
- Zero fire risk : Unlike sodium hydrosulfite powder, which is spontaneously combustible when exposed to moisture, our liquid solutions are stable and safe.
- Elimination of toxic gases : No more handling of sulfur dioxide (SO2), a hazardous gas required for in-situ processes.
- Healthier work environment : A drastic reduction in chemical risks for your employees, ensuring a safer and more compliant workplace.
3. Immediate and sustainable profitability
Choosing HY BRITE® means eliminating the hidden costs that weigh down your profitability:
- Reduced capital investment : No capital is required for the purchase or maintenance of dissolution units or reactors.
- Zero waste : Complete elimination of losses associated with the dissolution or handling of powders.

4. Remote inventory management: total peace of mind
Far more than just a delivery service, we provide constant oversight of your operations:
- Real-time monitoring : A dedicated specialist analyzes your consumption levels and the physico-chemical parameters of the product in your tanks on a daily basis.
- Absolute reliability : We automatically coordinate shipments to guarantee a seamless supply chain with zero interruptions.
The result: Invisible and flawless inventory management, allowing you to focus your resources and attention on your core business.
Silox Canada revolutionizes sodium hydrosulfite production [HY BRITE® Crystals] with a patented technology delivering strategic competitive advantage
2022, Silox Canada announces the granting of a patent for a next-generation process enabling the production of sodium hydrosulfite crystals in a more efficient, safer, and sustainable way.
This innovation relies on advanced control of pH and temperature to convert a solution into a crystalline suspension, followed by separation and stabilization through cooling. The result is a high-performance product that can be transported in refrigerated form, significantly reducing logistical constraints.
Beyond operational improvements, this technology represents a major strategic lever for Silox Canada:
- it bridges the gap between solid and liquid forms, combining high concentration with ease of use and improved safety,
- it enables logistics optimization, reducing transportation costs over long distances while maintaining supply flexibility,
- it creates a differentiated positioning versus traditional products (diluted solutions and powders),
- it unlocks international market expansion opportunities, particularly in regions previously constrained by logistics costs.
Compared to conventional approaches, this solution delivers:
- significant transportation cost reductions,
- lower energy consumption,
- reduced environmental footprint,
- and improved safety in handling and storage.
With this patent, Silox Canada strengthens its position as an innovation leader in the chemical industry and secures a sustainable competitive advantage to serve evolving market needs in paper, textile, and specialty chemicals.
