For over 40 years, Silox has been successfully developing a complete range of zinc oxides using the “hydrosulfite” process.

Our active zinc oxides are particularly renowned for their quality and performance.Thanks to the continuous development of our manufacturing processes, we are able to respond perfectly to the needs, constraints and requirements of the most demanding sectors, such as tires, technical rubbers, personal care and others.

To better support our customers, we also offer zinc derivatives such as zinc dust and zinc carbonate.

Zinc oxides

Our range of zinc oxides includes, in addition to a quality similar to "snow seal" in terms of low heavy metal content, a series of high-purity zinc oxides offering high specific surface finishes, both in powder and microbead form. These are the result of a patented process and offer exceptional dispersion characteristics.

Zinc carbonate

Silox India produces Zinc Carbonate, a versatile compound used as a sulphur absorber in the petroleum industry and as a transparent activator in the rubber industry.

It is also found in personal care, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical formulations.

Its main application areas include:

Zinc dust

Silox India is the largest manufacturer of Zinc Dust in India. This compound is primarily used as an anti-corrosive agent in a wide range of protective coatings, including industrial, marine, and yacht coatings.

It is also a key raw material for numerous chemical reactions and an intermediate in pharmaceutical drug manufacturing.

Its main application areas include:

  • Paints and Coatings: used in the formulation of zinc-rich paints.

  • Chemicals and Intermediates: for producing compounds such as Zinc Phosphide, Sodium Hydrosulphite, SFS, and ZFS, as well as for zinc refining through electrolytic processes and other metallisation reactions.

  • Pharmaceuticals: serves as an intermediate in drug manufacturing processes.

  • Mining: used in the separation of metals such as gold and uranium from leaching solutions.

    Technical rubbers and tires

    We supply zinc oxide to improve the strength and elasticity of technical rubbers and tires. It increases durability and optimizes product performance.
